Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining and documenting vital signs and chief complaints Prepare exam rooms based on chief complaints Perform phlebotomy and obtain specimens for processing Administer vaccines and complete required documentation Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG and Pulmonary Function tests under physician supervision Screen and direct patient calls according to established protocols Contact patients regarding prescriptions and test results under physician supervision Perform daily regulatory testing and document accordingly Maintain clinical supply par levels Perform front desk duties including patient registration, billing, and appointment scheduling Requirements 0-2 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred HS diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant BLS Certification required In the state of DE, certification is required within 1 year of hire Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in patient preparation, vital sign documentation, and performing diagnostic tests under supervision.
