A leading distributor and fabricator of industrial and hydraulic hose assemblies is seeking a VP Sales – Industrial Hose & Fluid Power to lead its Tampa, FL operation. This is more than a leadership role—it’s a chance to serve as the in-house hose expert for a growing, high-performing team. What You’ll Own

• Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute local sales plans, set clear goals, and guide territory development aligned with aggressive growth objectives.
• Team Development & Technical Coaching: Lead from the front—recruit, train, and mentor a team of inside and outside reps. Serve as the hose and fittings expert your team turns to for product knowledge, troubleshooting, and customer consultation.
• Key Customer Engagement: Personally build relationships with buyers, plant managers, and maintenance leads across key industries including construction, marine, transportation, and manufacturing.
• Market Growth: Drive new customer acquisition and expand wallet share across existing accounts. Launch targeted initiatives in new verticals with support from suppliers and internal partners.
• Branch Profitability: Manage pricing, margin performance, and expense controls. Collaborate with Finance and Ops to keep DSO, inventory, and operations in balance.
• Hands-On Enablement: Lead application training, help spec solutions, and coach your team to close more confidently and upsell higher-value assemblies and components.

What We’re Looking For

• Hose Industry Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of direct experience selling or managing industrial and hydraulic hose assemblies, fittings, and fluid power components.
• Sales Leadership: 3+ years of experience leading multi-rep sales teams in a technical or industrial setting.
• Product Authority: You’ve worked with complex hose applications, understand critical tolerances, and can diagnose system needs in real-world customer environments.
• Strong Leader & Communicator: You’re approachable, decisive, and able to build team confidence while setting clear performance expectations.
• Regionally Mobile: Willing to travel locally 2–3 days per week and spend the balance of your time based at the Tampa branch.
• Bonus Points: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; established network in Florida’s construction, marine, or industrial sectors.
