Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Technician to provide temporary support with tax, property, and financial record functions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with financial data, property records, or tax-related processes and possess a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assist with tax calculations, adjustments, and record maintenance.
- Review and interpret legal descriptions of property.
- Enter, update, and verify financial and property-related information.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in records and documentation.
- Support reporting and documentation efforts.
- Assist with customer and internal inquiries regarding tax and property records.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential records.
- Perform additional administrative and accounting support duties as assigned.
Required:
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience reading and interpreting legal descriptions.
- Experience with tax calculations.
- Strong organizational and data entry skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
- Accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related background.
- Experience in property tax, real estate, title, assessor, auditor, or government office environments.
- Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
