Plating Technician I (Night Shift)

Overview

The Plating Technician I is responsible for operating and maintaining chemical plating processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment during the night shift. This role monitors plating bath chemistry, performs testing, handles wafers, and supports production quality while following strict safety and clean room standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust plating bath chemistry, temperature, and pH levels.
• Perform titrations and analytical testing to maintain process control.
• Set up and operate plating runs according to specifications.
• Handle and inspect wafers before and after plating using microscopes and imaging systems.
• Perform shear testing and dimensional measurements on plated parts.
• Conduct routine equipment, tank, and process maintenance.
• Maintain accurate process logs and documentation.
• Follow clean room, safety, hazardous material, and wastewater regulations.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Support process improvement projects and new plating process development.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Chemistry or related field with 1-2 years of chemical or semiconductor experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with chemicals in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform chemical analysis, calculations, and process adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with clean room environments and PPE requirements.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule

• Night Shift
• Must be able to work overnight hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
