Accounting Manager

AIMS Companies is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead critical financial operations and strengthen our accounting infrastructure out of our corporate office in Chandler, AZ. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations: Oversee daily operations, cash management, financial reporting, and month-end close. Approvals: Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules. Asset & Lease Management: Manage fixed asset functions and lead ASC 842 lease accounting evaluations. Compliance & Tax: Oversee sales & use tax compliance and ensure strict adherence to GAAP and internal controls. Payroll & Expenses: Supervise weekly payroll reconciliations and manage the corporate credit card program. Technology & Innovation: Drive system enhancements, automation initiatives, and software improvements. Audit Support: Serve as a key liaison for annual audits and external tax processes. Leadership: Provide clear guidance, mentorship, and support to junior accounting staff. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory roles. Technical Skills: Advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and expertise in fixed assets, sales & use tax, and ASC 842. Pre-employment: Must pass a drug screen and background check.
