Dental AssistantOur office, Carolina Mountain Endodontics - Hendersonville is seeking a talented part-time Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. We are looking for a talented and skilled Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient.This is a part-time position.Your ResponsibilitiesYou will ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist's shoulders. You will be focused on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered. You will help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patients go to resource during their visit which includes the following:Welcoming patients to the dental officePreparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfortSelecting and set up instruments, equipment, and suppliesSterilizing instruments according to regulationsAssisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistryProviding oral hygiene and post-operative care instructionsKeeping the dental room clean and well-stockedScheduling appointments and post op visitsMaintaining accurate patient recordsAssisting with payment proceduresOccasional travel to support our Clyde officeAs one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.Your BackgroundYou are a resourceful dental assistant who loves helping patients receive the experience they deserve and helping the Dentist to provide it. You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who is able to proactively adjust to shifting priorities, and values the chance to make an important impact.You also have the following:At least 1-2 years of proven experience as dental assistant, specialty is preferredKnowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methodsUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsAbility to perform regulated non-surgical tasksGood computer skillsExcellent communication and people skillsA strong attention to detailWell-organized and reliableA high school diplomaA certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)An active state radiology/X-ray license (if required by law)Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to operate standard office equipmentMust be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areasMust be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periodsMust be able to work around medical equipment and instrumentsMust be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standardsMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movementsMust be able to respond quickly in emergency situationsIf this sounds like you, you will fit right in with the team!Why You Should Join Our TeamA career with us is a chance to work with everyone involved in the future of Specialty dental care.
