Production Supervisor

Job Overview The Production Supervisor leads all facets of Sensus meter production, driving safety, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor. This hands‑on leader directs and develops the production team, ensures flawless execution of manufacturing processes, and champions continuous improvement. Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–4:00PM (additional hours may be required). Responsibilities Supervision and Leadership – oversee 30+ direct reports; provide guidance, direction, motivation; conduct performance evaluations; resolve conflicts. Production Planning and Coordination – develop and implement production schedules; coordinate with other departments; analyze production data and recommend improvements; troubleshoot and resolve production‑related issues. Quality Control – ensure products meet company quality standards; conduct quality inspections and audits; maintain quality control procedures; address quality issues promptly. Budget and Cost Management – monitor and control production costs; identify cost‑savings opportunities; prepare and track budgets; recommend equipment upgrades or replacements. Communication and Reporting – communicate updates and issues to upper management; provide regular production progress reports; maintain clear communication with team members. Team Management – balance individual tasks with overall team performance; address conflicts professionally; inspire and motivate team members; stay adaptable to changing priorities. Decision Making – make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines. High Impact Behaviors – lead by example; engage team, recognize strengths, provide skill development opportunities; continuously improve processes and set clear goals. Qualifications High School diploma with at least 4 years of industry experience and 1+ year of people‑management experience (or equivalent). In‑depth knowledge of inventory management principles, policies, and procedures. Excellent organizational, time‑management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with inventory‑management software and systems. No visa sponsorship for this position. Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000.
