Travel RN – Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (19:00–07:00) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for all age groups, including patients post-trauma, post-surgical intervention, and those with medical comorbidities
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Operate and manage equipment including Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and lift equipment; document care using EPIC EMR
• Float on a rotational basis as required; orient on day shift prior to transitioning to night shift schedule
• Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and perform all duties consistent with established nursing practice guidelines and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri RN licensure
• BLS certification from AHA only
• Must have 4 trauma credits or complete them within the first two weeks of assignment start
• NIHSS certification — may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• Experience and competence in drug titration
• Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required seasonally (November 1 – April 1); declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from AHA only
• Inpatient trauma experience
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced cardiac/med-surg environment with a determined, decisive, and flexible approach
