Sales Manager

Description

We're looking for a hands-on, hunter-minded Sales Manager to grow room revenue at Comfort Suites Greenville Airport. This is a field-sales role, not a desk job. You'll spend a real share of your week in front of local businesses, manufacturers, training programs, and group decision-makers across the Upstate, building a base of negotiated and repeat business.

You'll own the property's direct sales pipeline, from prospecting through contracting and rooming lists, and you'll work closely with the GM and ownership on rate strategy and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel sales experience, ideally in select-service or focused-service properties (Choice, Hilton, Marriott, or IHG experience a plus).
• A proven record of outside prospecting and closing, not just responding to inbound leads.
• Comfort negotiating rates and contracts, and understanding the trade-off between volume and ADR.
• Working knowledge of revenue fundamentals: occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and STR indexes (MPI, ARI, RGI).
• Experience with a hotel PMS (Choice Advantage preferred) and proficiency in Excel and Outlook/Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of the Greenville/Upstate SC business community is a strong plus.
• Self-directed and organized, with strong follow-through; you'll be managing your own calendar and pipeline.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local sales calls.
• Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events.
