Access & Pump Engineering Co-op

Johnson & Johnson seeks two engineering co-ops for their Cardiology team in Danvers, MA to support access and pump device development. The role involves feasibility testing, prototype evaluation, fixture design, and statistical analysis of medical device components in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility testing including part inspection, root cause investigations, and mechanical testing
• Develop and validate test methods for device performance metrics
• Design fixtures and prototype devices using rapid manufacturing or secondary assembly operations
• Execute prototype evaluations for usability, hemostasis, insertion forces, and thrombus formation
• Perform statistical analysis comparing collected data to baseline measurements

Requirements

• Currently pursuing degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
• Proficiency in Computer Aided Design, preferably SolidWorks
• Knowledge of rapid prototype manufacturing methods
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and experimental design
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of mechanics and fluid flow principles
• Permanent authorization to work in U.S.; no visa sponsorship required

Compensation: $23.50/hr to $52.50/hr
