Beatbox Electrical Engineering Co-op

Johnson & Johnson seeks an electrical engineering co-op student to support design, development, and testing of electronic hardware for medical and commercial products. The six-month position in Danvers, MA offers hands-on experience in circuit design, PCB development, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration within the Beatbox engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analog and digital electronic circuit design and evaluation
• Support PCB schematic capture, layout reviews, and component selection activities
• Build, test, and troubleshoot hardware prototypes and engineering samples
• Perform laboratory testing, data collection, and analysis on hardware designs
• Create engineering documentation including test reports, BOMs, and design specifications

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit electronics fundamentals
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, or equivalent)
• Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship requirements

Compensation: $23.50/hr to $52.50/hr based on program year, discipline, degree, and experience
