Resident Manager

What You'll Actually Do This role sits at the center of resident life at a Flats community in Chicago. You're the main point of contact from the moment a prospect walks in the door through the day they hand back their keys. That means leasing, renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and everything in between. You'll report to the Property Manager and supervise leasing consultants on site. On the leasing side, you'll manage the full pipeline: tours, follow-up, lease execution, and conversion tracking. You'll stay current on pricing, availability, and any concessions in play, and you'll monitor traffic and lead sources closely enough to adjust strategy when numbers slip. Marketing support is part of the job too, including social media presence and responding to online reviews in a way that actually reflects well on the community. On the resident side, you'll own the experience after move-in. That includes a 48-hour move-in follow-up, handling questions and amenity reservations, coordinating resident events, and running renewal outreach before leases go month-to-month. When residents give notice, you'll process it in Yardi, schedule the walkthrough, and coordinate with maintenance to keep turns on track and vacancy loss low. Make-ready timelines matter here. A slow punch list costs real money. An active Illinois Leasing License is required for this role.
