Respiratory Therapist, Fulltime Nights

Job Description

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus Provides respiratory care to patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited AMA Respiratory Care Program

Minimum Experience: None

Preferred Experience: Some experience in respiratory care or related area

Required Certifications/Licensure: Possession of current RCP State of Texas License, Possession of current CRT / RRT Certification from NBRC Renewal required every 5 years unless grandfathered prior to July 1, 2002)

Required Courses/Completions (e.g., CPR):

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if covering pedi
• AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if covering nicu
