Title: Junior Graphic Designer

Location: Tempe Arizona 85281

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary:

The Junior Graphic Designer supports the Creative Services team in developing high-quality visual materials for marketing, sales, training, conventions, physician education, digital campaigns, and internal communications. This role helps ensure all creative deliverables are visually engaging, brand-compliant, accurate, and completed on time.

Must Have:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of graphic design experience, internship experience included, or a portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals and product capabilities.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and ability to create and edit branded presentation material.
• Familiarity with Word and other Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong layout, typography, visual design, and production skills.
• Ability to take creative direction, ask thoughtful questions, and incorporate feedback.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Creative Team by executing high-volume production work, updating existing assets, preparing files for deployment, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
• Create and revise marketing collateral, sales materials, brochures, sell sheets, advertisements, presentations, digital graphics, event materials, and training assets.
• Support product launches, conventions, campaigns, physician education programs, and internal communication initiatives.
• Prepare design concepts, layouts, mockups, and final production files.
• Assist with resizing, updating, and formatting creative assets based on project needs and vendor/publication specifications.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales Training, Physician Education, Conventions, and other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all materials follow BD brand standards and applicable review/compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with printers, vendors, agencies, and internal teams to support production timelines.
• Maintain organized project files and support digital asset management/archive processes.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Stay current on design best practices, production methods, accessibility considerations, and evolving creative technologies.
• Execute creative work within established brand guidelines while helping maintain consistency across all touchpoints.
• Present concepts and work-in-progress designs during creative reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and creative leadership.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Acrobat, or digital asset management tools.
• Basic understanding of print specifications, vendor file preparation, and publication ad requirements.
• Experience using JIRA, Optimizely or another project intake/workflow system.
• Interest in growing within an internal creative agency model.

Nice To Have:

• Familiarity with Figma.
• Experience with print production, digital advertising, or regulated healthcare/medical device environments.
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Acrobat, or digital asset management tools.
• Basic understanding of print specifications, vendor file preparation, and publication ad requirements.
• Experience using JIRA, Optimizely or another project intake/workflow system.
