Volunteer, Learn to Play Hockey

Do you love hockey and want to give back to your community? Do you have experience assisting instructors in the Learn to Play Program? This is the perfect opportunity for you! The Learn To Play Hockey Volunteer is responsible for assisting on-ice instructors during ice classes for all levels, providing a fun and safe environment for participants aged 4 to 17 years old. Our Ideal Candidate Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Ability to ice skate. Basic understanding of how hockey is played, including principles, practices, and techniques used in recreational sporting events. Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with fellow employees, community organizations, and the public. Ability to handle participants, team managers, and coaches under difficult game situations. The above job description covers the main duties of this position. About Us Our mission is to foster healthy living through stewardship of the environment, parks, trails, and open space by providing recreational services and programs. We serve residents in Bow Mar, Columbine Valley, Centennial west of I-25, Littleton, Lone Tree, and Sheridan, as well as unincorporated portions of Douglas, Jefferson, and Arapahoe counties. We operate four full-service recreation centers, golf courses, outdoor pools, restaurants, two ice centers, miniature golf courses, a botanical garden event center, BMX track, sports dome, batting cages, entertainment center, hotel, and a nature center.
