Description We are seeking a Director of Construction Services to lead and grow a C onstruction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) program in Virginia . This role is responsible for building a construction services program, overseeing delivery of roadway and bridge construction services contracts, and strengthening relationships with VDOT, transportation agencies, and local municipalities across the Commonwealth. For more information, visit: What You'll Do Lead and expand a Virginia construction services program with a long-term growth mindset Oversee delivery of C onstruction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for VDOT and local municipalities Provide executive oversight of roadway and bridge construction projects , ensuring compliance with VDOT standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations Serve as a trusted partner to VDOT and public-sector clients Lead, mentor, and grow construction management and inspection staff in Virginia Support business development efforts, including pursuits, proposals, and strategic planning Collaborate with regional leadership to align operations with organizational goals What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Significant experience with VDOT roadway and bridge construction Demonstrated experience delivering CEI services for public-sector transportation clients Proven ability to build, manage, and grow a construction services program or business unit Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (Virginia or ability to obtain) Established relationships within VDOT or Virginia transportation agencies Experience overseeing multiple projects or programs across a region or state Why This Role High-impact leadership position shaping the future of construction services in Virginia Opportunity to grow a respected program with strong market presence Competitive compensation and benefits Collaborative culture focused on technical excellence and leadership development Requirements Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19\" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.) Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working Able to move equipment or inspection specimens weighing up to 50 pounds #J-18808-Ljbffr United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia
