Radiology/Imaging Technician

Construction began in September 2021 of the new AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway hospital. This $160+ million project is located on Palm Coast Parkway near Bridgehaven Drive. The four-story hospital and medical office building opened in August 2023, and joins AdventHealth Palm Coast to provide additional convenience and comprehensive care, including world-class orthopedics services to Flagler residents.

AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway offers an emergency department with full-service imaging; five operating suites; endoscopy services; an outpatient laboratory; heart catherization labs; 20 critical care patient rooms and 80 for general medical or surgical care.

The role you'll contribute:

Performs Radiographic and CT imaging procedures. Positions, moves, and transports patients. Performs clerical duties. Assists Radiologist in performance of special imaging procedures. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. Participates in standby call. Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Performs Radiologic and CT imaging procedures.
• Positions patient and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist's standards, in a safe, timely manner.
• Processes radiographs, with correct patient demographic and examination information.
• Uses computer to enter and access patient information correctly and change procedure status and billing.
• Performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, and completing patient record. Utilizes department computer system as needed for patient record keeping and scheduling.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• BLS required
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography
• Florida license in Radiography required
