We are America's largest privately held cabinetmaker, a best-in-class team of over 6,000 employees across 20 locations, including 15 manufacturing facilities.As the HR Manager in Manufacturing at Cabinetworks Group, you play a vital role in supporting the local HR department, ensuring adherence to policies, laws, and regulations while fostering a positive company culture. Collaborating closely with manufacturing leadership, you oversee various programs and initiatives to drive continuous improvement within the department. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, conducting audits, providing project support, and guiding local HR staff to maintain productive and compliant work environments. Additionally, you lead investigations into complaints, manage projects, and facilitate monthly HR Manager Conference calls to provide updates on labor/employee relations.A critical aspect of this role is to spend at least 30% of your time on the production floor, engaging with employees and understanding their needs firsthand. This is a 100% onsite position at our manufacturing plant.Principal Functional Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations at all plant locations, including FMLA and workers' compensationProvide local Plant HR staff with guidance to address issues and sustain positive, productive, and compliant work environmentsWork with Plant HR staff in the investigation of discrimination or harassment complaints, Company policy violations, and recommend corrective action, if appropriateManage the recruitment and selection processDevelop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategyBridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issuesOversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performanceConduct FLSA and HR audits as needed at plant locationsProvide project support, including: research, report generation, preventative labor assistance, etcSupport the department during the annual budget processProvide monthly labor/employee relations updatesAssess training needs to apply and monitor training programsReport to management and provide decision support through HR metricsConduct HRIS audits as needed for the corporate headquartersProvide compliance support to the plants, including workers' compensation and FMLAEnsure legal compliance throughout human resource managementEssential Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor degree in business administration, human resources or related field7 years related human resources experienceCapable of walking 30% of the time on the shop floorDeep knowledge of HR KPIs such as turnover rate, absenteeism, labor cost, headcount, etcWorking knowledge of current government regulations related to employment law including FMLA, ADA, WC, EOE, COBRA, and EEOCProficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teamsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organizationExcellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workloadAbility to travel up to 20%Preferred Qualifications and Skills:MBAProfessional in Human Resources (PHR)Prior ERP experience (PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP)Lean Manufacturing and Six SigmaExperience with employee engagement initiativesKnowledge of safety and health regulationsExperience with conflict resolution and disciplinary processesFamiliarity with talent management and succession planningAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrityAt Cabinetworks, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental support programs, and company-paid life and disability benefits.
