You shift gears without losing your footing: some days you are deep in a month-end close, some days a client needs something new, and some days the work is straightforward. \nYou communicate proactively. You give things a real try before asking for help, and when you do ask, your question is specific. You keep your team informed without being chased down, manage expectations out loud, and do what you say. These are not nice-to-haves here. They are the standard.

\nYou are also thinking about where you are going. This role has a defined path: Staff Accountant to Senior Accountant to Accounting Manager to Controller. We promote from within and we are actively looking for people who want to grow into that trajectory over time.

Core Responsibilities:
\n
\n\n

\n\t
• Manage client accounting inboxes across your portfolio, triaging requests, directing items to the right team members, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks\n\t
• Perform transaction coding, ensuring expenses, receipts, and other activity are accurately categorized in the general ledger\n\t
• Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly recurring and adjusting journal entries, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash\n\t
• Execute month-end close responsibilities, including bank reconciliations and low-risk account reconciliations across the balance sheet\n\t
• Review work prepared by AP and AR clerks, providing feedback and ensuring accuracy\n\t
• Assist in the preparation of timely, accurate, and complete financial statements\n\t
• Gather and organize data to support reporting, analysis, and client deliverables\n\t
• Support system implementations and process improvement initiatives as clients scale\n\t
• Assist with audit and compliance workpaper preparation as needed\n\t
• Maintain complete and accurate timesheets on a daily basis\n

\n Qualifications:
\n
\n Required: \n\n

\n\t
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field\n\t
• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience\n\t
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP\n\t
• Excellent communication skills, with confidence in client-facing and team-facing interactions\n\t
• Ability to manage multiple client workloads simultaneously and prioritize effectively\n\t
• Proactive, self-directed mindset with a track record of following through\n\t
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities shift\n\t
• Ability to work Pacific Time business hours weekdays 8:30AM to 5:30PM\n

\n Preferred: \n\n

\n\t
• Experience with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online (QBO)\n\t
• Experience with Bill.com for accounts payable and payment workflows\n\t
• Exposure to Fathom or similar financial reporting and KPI tools\n\t
• Comfort with AI and modern productivity tools; genuine curiosity about how technology is reshaping accounting workflows and making teams more efficient\n\t
• Prior experience in a multi-client, outsourced, or public accounting environment\n
