Data Science Manager

CorVel is seeking a Data Science Manager perform various functions as they strive to help organizations take advantage of data in making the best management decisions.This is a remote position.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop advanced quantitative modules using a variety of programs/software to support predictive assessmentsResponsible for communicating analytics model behavior/results to businessResponsible for carrying out technical risk analysis and reliability assessmentsResponsible for performing complex analyses, including optimization, text analytics, machine learning, and statistical analysisResponsible for the design of algorithms that require different models/methods to be used togetherApply strong understanding of data science techniques and libraries to business problemsManage a team of data scientists to complete all project deliverablesApply engineering approaches to deliver business valueKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to provide superior service to internal and external stakeholdersSense of urgency and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentGood organizational skillsStatistical analysis skillsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in computer Science is highly desiredExperience developing enterprise software using modern environments and toolsPAY RANGECorVel uses a market-based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
