Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Quality the Quality Data Analyst will focus on analyzing quality performance, developing metrics, dashboards and KPI reports, forecasting trends, and providing operational leadership with clear, actionable insights. The Quality Data Analyst works closely with Quality Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Assembly & Test, Supply Chain, Safety, and Program teams to ensure Terran Orbital maintains strong reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout program delivery. The Quality Data Analyst serves as the primary analytical resource for the EH&S, Quality & Mission Assurance organization, responsible for cost‑of‑poor-quality reporting, first pass yields (FPY), waste/scrap reduction, defect trend analysis, NCR performance evaluation, quality forecasting, and visibility into process state-of-health. This role translates complex data into concise, meaningful information used to guide operational and strategic decisions and to provide leadership with clear concise performance assurance.Key Duties and Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and improve quality dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and recurring performance reportsAnalyze quality data—including nonconformances, defect trends, escapes, cost-of-poor- quality, rework, and inspection throughput to identify trends and improvement opportunitiesPrepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual quality performance summaries in alignment with operational and customer requirementsPerform variance analysis on inspection output, defect rates, resource utilization, supplier quality metrics, and cost impactsSupport quality forecasting and trend modeling, including capacity planning, defect reduction impact, and performance shiftsExtract, consolidate and validate large volumes of data from MES/PLM/ERP systems (Aegis, Jira, D365, Windchill, or equivalent)Provide analytical support to leadership for performance evaluation and continuous improvement trackingSupport internal and external audits through preparation of quality metrics, compliance data, and documented performance evidenceAssist in QMS maintenance reporting required for AS9100 and ISO9001 standardsCollaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Assembly & Test, Supply Chain, Safety, and Program to assess supplier and internal performanceParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, providing data-driven insights, ROI modeling, and metric developmentTranslate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for cross-functional and executive audiencesRequired Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, business analytics, engineering or related field3+ years of experience in quality analytics, operations analytics, data analysis, (aerospace/defense industry preferred)Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools with ability to manage and consolidate large datasetsProficiency in BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, D365 reporting, or similar)Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems such as Aegis, Jira, D365, Windchill or similarUnderstanding of key quality metrics such as FPY, DPMO, NCR trends, Cost-of-Poor Quality (COPQ), rework rates, inspection throughput, and CAPA effectivenessStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with skill in trend interpretation and metric designHigh attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data governanceAbility to collaborate effectively across engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and program teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills - including ability to display performance indicators for clear understandingU.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearancePreferred Qualifications and SkillsExperience working in aerospace quality environments with AS9100/ISO9001Knowledge of financial concepts such as variance analysis, forecasting, ROI, or cost modelingExperience supporting quality investigations, audit readiness, or continuous improvement projectsYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
