About the Opportunity
Express Employment is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join a high-volume industrial kitchen team. This is a hands-on position that offers consistent hours and long-term stability.
If you enjoy working in a fast-paced food production environment, staying active throughout the day, and contributing to a team that prepares quality meals and food products, this could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities
Wash, peel, chop, slice, and prepare ingredients for food production
Measure, portion, and organize ingredients according to recipes and production schedules
Assist cooks and kitchen staff with meal preparation and assembly
Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift
Properly label, date, and store food products following food safety standards
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, mixers, food processors, and other commercial equipment
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory using FIFO practice
- Support other kitchen and food production operations as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
Frequently lift, carry, and move ingredients, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous kitchen, food service, food production, prep cook experience
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
Food Handler Permit or ServSafe Certification preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
