RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, develop, and manage a diverse, high‑performing sales team to achieve sales goals for promoted products within our psychiatry portfolio. Set and lead the development of area strategic direction and tactical sales plans using robust analytical skills, identifying strengths and opportunities while minimizing weaknesses and threats to meet or exceed sales goals. Observe Account Manager interactions with target customers, extended treatment team members, and ancillary staff; provide coaching, feedback, and inspiration. Establish a result‑driven, highly collaborative team culture by demonstrating personal accountability, teamwork, and collaboration. Recruit, develop, and retain diverse, high‑performing Account Managers for Lundbeck. Guide identification of local market systems of care, patient flow, reimbursement, and provide innovative solutions. Identify strategic relationships that are valuable to the area’s business (e.g., KOLs, advocacy, P&T committee). Actively seek to discover and meet the needs of internal and external customers by building relationships and delivering innovative solutions. Ensure Account Managers can accurately craft Managed Markets selling messages to effectively position Lundbeck’s products within the context of the provider’s setting and payer mix. Set and maintain competent product knowledge and selling skills standards within the team; direct and monitor execution of approved marketing plans and promotion campaigns. Evaluate and identify improvement and development opportunities for account managers through performance management, including clear, timely, and actionable feedback. Facilitate local market execution by aligning the sales force and other cross‑functional areas (including alliance partners) to persuade, convince, or motivate a targeted audience. Analyze sales reports and develop plans of action. Maintain timely communication with account managers, management and in‑house personnel; manage multiple priorities and resources related to individual and group efforts. Assure adherence to all standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines as set forth by the organization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university. 3+ years sales management experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, or related fields. Evidence of documented track record of sales success and financial management. Demonstrated leadership ability to develop, train, and provide feedback to a group of account managers. Superior communication skills, both written and oral. Valid driver’s license in good standing; driving essential to this role. Compliance with industry‑standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers/customer facilities. Must live within 100 miles of territory boundaries.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Previous CNS sales management experience. Experience calling on customers at a variety of call points, including offices, community mental health centers, and hospitals. Experience in marketing, sales training, managed care account management, sales operations, or partnership with alliance partners. Experience partnering with advocacy groups. Experience building and developing effective teams. Experience in product launch or expansion within sales.

TRAVEL

Willingness/ability to travel up to 70% domestically within the United States; required to meet and interact with the customer base and internal personnel within the assigned territory, and attend conferences and meetings.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $180,000 $210,000. Eligibility for a sales incentive target of $52,500 and participation in the company’s long‑term incentive plan.
