Job Title: Class A Fleet & Utility Technician Job Description

We are seeking a Class A Automotive Technician with extensive experience in Ford, GM, and Ram vehicles who desires a dynamic role beyond the conventional dealership or repair shop setting. This position encompasses automotive repair, fleet maintenance, utility equipment service, electrical diagnostics, fabrication, and problem-solving in an autonomous work environment. The role involves working on consumer vehicles and medium-duty fleet and specialty equipment, each representing 50% of the workload. • Conduct automotive and truck repairs, including oil changes, brakes, tires, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and resolve driveability concerns.
• Repair suspension, steering, cooling, and fuel systems.
• Replace engines and transmissions for Ford, GM, and Ram cars and trucks.
• Service medium-duty trucks, utility and service-body trucks, telecom trucks, boom lifts, aerial equipment, rail-capable vehicles, and delivery and step vans.
• Interpret electrical schematics, diagnose wiring, modules, sensors, and communication issues, and troubleshoot electrical systems beyond reading fault codes.
• Perform wiring repairs and custom installations on both 12V and 120V systems.
• Engage in minor welding, fabrication, and repair modifications for utility truck components.
• Develop custom repair solutions when replacement parts are unavailable.

• Class A / Master Technician level experience.
• Strong diagnostic capabilities and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Ford, GM, and Ram engine swaps and major repairs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Resourcefulness and mechanical inclination.
• Open to learning new equipment and systems.

• Valid driver's license.
• 4+ years of auto service repair experience.
• 6+ months of customer service experience.
• Eligibility for a CDL is preferred but not required.
• Experience in large diesel trucks or heavy equipment is an advantage.

This is a Permanent position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
