While the practice has a strong focus on personal injury matters, the role may also involve exposure to other areas of civil litigation.

Compensation

Salary Range: $65,000 - $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities of the Personal Injury Attorney

• Case Management: Handle personal injury and civil litigation matters from intake through resolution, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Legal Research & Writing: Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, settlement demands, and other legal documents while conducting thorough legal research.
• Client Advocacy: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates, guidance, and exceptional client service throughout the litigation process.
• Courtroom & Litigation Support: Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings while assisting with trial preparation.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies, manage caseloads, and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Qualifications of the Personal Injury Attorney

• Experience: 3-5 years of personal injury experience preferred; candidates with civil litigation experience and a strong desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Licensure: Active Rhode Island Bar admission is required. Massachusetts Bar admission is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities with a client-focused approach.
• Organization: Strong case management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Professionalism: Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to building a long-term career with a growing firm.
