Through decades of growth, innovation, and dedication, MW Industries has proven to be a world-class supplier of custom springs, fasteners, and precision metal components.JOB SUMMARYThe Shipping/Receiving Driver is responsible for the timely delivery of products, as well as assisting with all daily shipping and receiving activities.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSSafely operate company vehicles to deliver products to various locations within a designated area.Ensure timely delivery of shipments while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from customers professionally.Build positive relationships with clients through effective communication and reliability.Verifies products prior to packaging and follows packaging instructions.Prepares items for shipment, including completing shipping notices, bills of lading and any other required documents.Determines shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.Ensures accuracy, completeness, and condition of outgoing shipments.Packages product according to work instructions.Must be able to create advanced shipping notifications for applicable clients.Receive incoming shipments, verifying the quantity and quality of products against purchase orders or packing lists.Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to management promptly.Organize received items in the warehouse according to established procedures.Follow all safety protocols while driving and handling materialsAssist production and assist other management personnel as needed.SKILLS AND ABILITIESHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications related to logistics is a plus.Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.2-3 years of driving experience with a company.Previous experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or a related field preferred.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 40 lbs) safely.Ability to go up and down stairsForklift certification is a plusExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.This position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions during deliveries.Payrate: $21-$23 per hourEEOC Statement:MW Industries, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
