We are seeking a curious, passionate, and organized Dining Program Manager to lead our culinary operations. Food is central to the community experience and healing journey at Confluence. In this role, you will do much more than manage a kitchen; you will design and implement a wholesome, nutrient-dense culinary program that interfaces directly with our 130-acre agrarian property and therapeutic horticulture team.

The Dining Program Manager is responsible for cultivating a safe, warm, and structured kitchen environment. You will collaborate hand-in-hand with clinical, residential, and operations staff, while also acting as a healthy role model for our young adult participantsinviting them to participate in the grounding and life-skills-building practices of diet, nutrition, and meal preparation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Menu & Nutrition Management: Design, plan, and execute a rotating, farm-to-table seasonal menu focused on whole-person health, diet, and nutrition. Safely accommodate varied dietary requirements, restrictions, and allergies.
• Team Integration: Collaborate with teams to source ingredients directly from our onsite gardens and local partners.
• Participant Engagement & Mentorship: Facilitate basic culinary skill-building, kitchen safety training, and nutritional education for young adult participants as part of their holistic life skills development.
• Kitchen Operations & Safety: Manage inventory, food sourcing, budget planning, and ordering. Maintain pristine health and safety standards in alignment with local, state, and Joint Commission healthcare accreditation requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Maintain strong interpersonal communication with clinicians, field mentors, and leadership to support individualized participant needs and ensure seamless programming.

Experience and Qualifications

• Professional Culinary Experience: A background in professional kitchen management, culinary arts, or a food services leadership role (experience in a residential, camp, or health-care setting is a plus).
• Nutritional Knowledge: Passion for whole foods, farm-to-table sourcing, and the intersections of physical wellness and mental health.
• Developing Professional Mindset: Compassionate, patient, and clear with expectations; able to build strong, healthy boundaries and rapport with young adults.
• Team-Oriented: A professional and trustworthy team player who excels in active communication and possesses high emotional intelligence.
• Certifications: Active ServSafe (Safe Food Handling) or equivalent manager certification required. CPR/First Aid certification must be completed by the hire date.
