Radiology Tech – Per Diem (Recon Ortho / Sewell-Vineland-Somers Point) New to Virtua hires are eligible for sign on bonus of $500 * One-year commitment * Rotate between various office locations. 9‑hour days mostly on day shift. Summary: A licensed practitioner responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic purposes. Performs a wide variety of radiologic procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards. Operates all radiographic equipment in a safe and responsible manner following appropriate ALARA guidelines. Supports the Virtua Mission and Vision statement and upholds the Virtua Values and STAR behaviors. Adheres to all Virtua policies and procedures. Position Responsibilities Performs radiologic procedures for all patient populations according to protocols established by the radiologist, while applying principals of radiation safety and protection at all times. Evaluates images with goal of producing radiographic images of the highest diagnostic quality. Consistently provides thorough and accurate documentation. Obtains pertinent medical information prior to the procedure, reviews and verifies physicians’ orders. Documents correct side, LMP etc. Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of all radiographic equipment and computer systems such as RIS, PACS, Web viewer, ADW workstation and other hospital based computer or PC systems. Provides instruction to and assists in training new staff or student radiologic technologists. Required Education Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Training/Certifications/Licensure Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.). NJDEP licensure required. CPR certification preferred. Compensation and Benefits Sign‑on bonus: $500. Standard hourly rate: $35‑$42. Shift differential (M‑F after 6pm + weekends): $41‑$48. Hourly Rate: $37.00 - $62.00. Hiring bonus: $5,000. Ability to work early mornings and evenings when necessary, flexing time when possible if overtime is anticipated. Part time: rotating shift, PRN, rotating shifts for days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays required (per various postings). 40 hrs/week rotating shift (full time). Location Sewell, Vineland, Somers Point, West Chester, PA, Wilmington, DE, Saint Francis Hospital – Wilmington, DE, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital – Darby, PA, Pottstown, PA. Education & Experience Requirements Associate degree required (or equivalent military experience). ARRT registration (RT (R)) with C‑arm fluoroscopy experience; PA state licensure as required. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Registration by ARRT or within 3 months of start. BLS required. 4‑6 years’ related experience desirable. 1 year experience preferred for candidates with ARRT. Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C‑Arm and Ultrasound equipment). Knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word. Comfortable with cadaveric and animal tissue; stand extended periods; lift 50lbs. Ability to stand in protective apron 45‑60 minutes.
