Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Poquoson, Virginia

Embark on a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school environment. Youll provide invaluable services at four school sites in an itinerant, in-person capacity. The position begins in August, with potential orientation and training opportunities in July 2025 to help ensure a smooth transition. Enjoy a consistent full-time schedule, working approximately 7:30am to 3:00pm each day, as you collaborate with a dedicated team that may include a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and a Clinical Fellow (CF). Required Skills and Experience: Valid SLP licensure; CCC or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) applicants welcome Experience in school-based, healthcare, pediatric, or teletherapy settings a plus Background working with K-12 students preferred Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites Knowledge or experience as an SLPA or supervision of SLPAs considered an asset Commitment to in-person service delivery Strong communication and teamwork skills Key Responsibilities: Deliver assessments and therapy for a diverse population of K-12 students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Document progress and communicate with educators and families Collaborate closely with educational staff across all assigned campuses Supervise and support assigned SLPAs and/or CFs as appropriate Attend meetings, maintain records, and assure compliance with legal guidelines Engage in orientation/training as required This role offers a chance to make a tangible difference in students lives within a supportive educational setting.
