Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 25 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Open Heart registered nurse (RN) opportunity available in a specialized pediatric hospital setting. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver professional nursing care tailored to pediatric patients with open heart conditions. The position supports both day and night shifts, offering a dynamic environment focused on critical pediatric care. Job Details Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges; Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association; Experience as an RN in pediatric CVICU for at least 1 year; Experience floating to NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit); Childrens hospital experience preferred Preferred Qualifications: Experience at a hospital with a Level III or IV NICU; Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Schedule: 12-hour shifts, shifts will include nights; minimum hours per week are 36; assignment start date is 10/05/2026 and end date is 03/28/2027 Additional Information: This assignment may float between multiple campuses; only pre-approved RTO requests discussed in the interview will be honored; the role involves working in collaboration with the health care team to promote patient health in a busy pediatric cardiac environment. COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required; flu vaccination will be required October through April, with exemption protocols in place. Candidates must sign masking protocols during respiratory virus season.
