This role will contribute across the application stack, from intuitive user interfaces and interactive visualizations to scalable APIs, data services, and cloud infrastructure.The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large and varied datasets, solving complex technical problems, and collaborating with product managers, designers, data engineers, and other software engineers. This position is well suited for someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys building reliable products that help users make informed decisions.Role ExpectationsTypically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience.Works to achieve operational objectives with a major impact on the job area and/or departmental results.Responsible for improving processes, systems, or work methods to enhance the performance of the function.Influences stakeholders within and outside the immediate work area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.Provides guidance, coaching, or training to other professionals within the job area.Requires advanced knowledge of the job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.Project Specific QualificationsExperience developing backend services using languages such as Go, C++, or C#.Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful or similar web APIs.Experience building analytics, business-intelligence, geospatial, data-fusion, or data-exploration products.Familiarity with large-scale data platforms, search technologies, or distributed query engines.Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Trino, Apache Iceberg, or similar technologies.Salary Range: $110,000 - $277,000We are an equal opportunity employer.
