Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-Hour schedule from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM, working on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health unit. The nurse will work in an inpatient setting focused on providing high-quality care to adults and geriatrics with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. The role requires expertise in managing acute and chronic behavioral health issues including substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practices for medication administration and patient management.
• Perform crisis interventions and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement seclusion protocols and manage acute psychiatric emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment using EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric nursing setting.
• Preferred certifications: MOAB or CPI for crisis intervention.
• Current RN license in the state or compact state licensure.
• BLS certification required.
