This inpatient facility in Charleston, South Carolina maintains established cardiothoracic surgical infrastructure and clinical protocols to support coordinated patient care across floor and operating room settings. The facility operates with a structured APP model and on-site support systems to facilitate quality care delivery throughout the locum tenens coverage period. Coverage will commence following completion of the credentialing process.

Charleston, South Carolina offers a range of activities suited to varied interests, including harbor cruises, farmers markets, jazz venues, and minor league baseball. The area provides access to nearby beaches and waterways, with excursions available to destinations such as Folly Beach and Isle of Palms, as well as maritime museum experiences. This locum tenens assignment requires a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Associate to provide inpatient coverage for 5-7 days per month, supporting one full-time APP vacancy. The clinical team consists of one surgeon and two APPs covering both floor and operating room responsibilities, with 24-hour call coverage required as a condition of this assignment. Endovascular Vein Harvesting certification is required, and prescriptive authority must be in place prior to the start of coverage.
