Job Description \n Tenet Memphis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a nursing job in Memphis, Tennessee. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. \n \n Coordinates patient care for assigned patients utilizing multi-disciplinary approach. \n Develops plan of care for newly admitted patients and modifies as condition/needs change. \n Delivers designated nursing interventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the stated medical plan of care. \n Performs procedures in the specialty service area. \n Documents nursing care accurately and completely in all assigned patient records. All patient related information is documented completely on appropriate forms. \n Performs related duties as required. \n \n \n Required:\n \n Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing \n Licensure/Certification:\n \n RN with current applicable state licensure / permit \n BLS - Certification required upon hire for all nursing positions. \n ACLS - Required within 3 months of hire for the following departments: \n \n Emergency Dept & Medical Response Team RNs \n ICU RN & Stepdown RNs \n Med/Surg/Tele RNs \n All Float Pool RNs, \n Same Day Surgery RNs, Operating Room RNs & PACU RNs \n GI Lab RNs & Interventional Radiology RNs \n Special Procedures RNs \n L&D RNs \n Cardiac Care RNs, Cardiac Rehab RNs & Cardiac Cath Lab RNs \n \n CPI - Required within 3 months of hire for the following: \n \n Emergency Dept. RNs \n All Bartlett Float Pool RNs, Memphis Float Pool RNs that will float to Behavioral Health and/or Emergency Dept. \n All Behavioral Health RNs \n \n PALS – Required within 3 months of hire for the following: Emergency Dept., Float Pool RNs who float to the Emergency Dept. \n Only for Bartlett Hires: \n \n \n \n • NRP – Required within 3 months of hire for L&D RNs, Mother/Baby RNs and NICU RNs. \n \n Preferred: \n \n Education: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree) \n \n \n \n Tenet Memphis Job ID View phone number on click.appcast.io.
