This is a high-visibility, high-impact role embedded within a dynamic regional business team, where you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across multiple business functions.You will be the go-to legal partner for the region — handling everything from complex commercial transactions and compliance matters to litigation management and corporate governance. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving real business problems, and want your legal work to have direct impact, this role is for you.What You Will DoDay-to-Day Legal SupportProvide proactive and practical legal guidance on employment and labor law, corporate governance, and operational compliance across the US and Canada.Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with local and international legal requirements.Commercial & ContractingLead and support negotiations of customer, vendor, and other commercial contracts, ensuring SLB's interests are protected while enabling business growth.Dispute Resolution & LitigationManage disputes, regulatory inquiries, and litigation matters, coordinating with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to mitigate legal and business risk.Compliance & EthicsChampion SLB's Ethics & Compliance program, including anti-corruption, trade controls, and data privacy initiatives.Conduct compliance investigations and support a culture of integrity throughout the region.Corporate & RegulatoryProvide legal support for corporate governance, entity management, M&A activity, government relations, and regulatory filings within the region.Outside Counsel ManagementOversee the engagement, quality, and cost-effectiveness of outside legal counsel.Business GrowthIdentify and support legal frameworks for new business opportunities and growth initiatives in the region.Why SLBGlobal platform with exposure to complex, cross-border legal matters.Collaborative and high-performing legal team with strong internal support.Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.Opportunity to grow within one of the most recognized names in the energy industry.A culture built on innovation, inclusion, and long-term impact.What We Are Looking ForJD from an ABA-accredited law school; admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.2–7 years of relevant legal experience, whether in a law firm, in-house, or both.Strong business judgment and ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a complex, fast-moving environment.Experience in commercial contracting, compliance, or corporate matters strongly preferred.Litigation background is a plus.ALL APPLICANTS FOR U.S. ROLES MUST CAREFULLY READ ALL THE SUPPLEMENTAL U.S. SPECIFIC INFORMATION LISTED BELOW.SLB is committed to a culture where everyone feels like they belong.
