Eligibility Specialist - Home Child Care Network BASE WAGE $20.24–22.27 per hour based on education level. JOB TYPE Full-Time Overview The Home Child Care Network, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area’s leading provider of early childhood care and education. We provide a safe, secure, and supportive environment centered on how play can charge the mind of the children we care for. Responsibilities Collaborate with existing agencies and coordinate the Child Care Assistance Program services for Home Child Care Network families as needed. Monitor Illinois Department of Human Services enrolled client child care cases, ensuring that all necessary paperwork and case documentation is collected and proper co-payments are assigned according to policy. Counsel families seeking child care regarding their case requirements and eligibility for the Illinois Department of Human Services Child Care Assistance Program. Oversee and finalize state and agency billing processes for home child care providers for the State of Illinois and Home Child Care Network. Answer home child care provider inquiries regarding state billing. Ensure that all state billings (MER) are sent in on time and accurately while following company, state, and federal policies. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience Required: Associate’s degree in business or related field with 2 years office experience. In lieu of a degree, no less than 4 years office experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business with 4+ years of office experience.
