Activity Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Warren Nursing & Rehab in Warren, Ohio. As an Activity Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being. Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a variety of activities designed to meet the unique needs and interests of our residents, including social events, games, arts and crafts, and exercise programs
Lead and facilitate activities, ensuring participation and engagement from all residents
Collaborate with other team members, including therapists and recreational staff, to ensure a comprehensive approach to activity planning
Conduct assessments to identify resident preferences and develop activity plans to meet their individual needs
Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance and participation
Enhance the overall quality of life for our residents by promoting socialization, cognitive stimulation, and restorative care

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in activity planning and implementation, preferably in a long-term care setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
