Project Accountant

Full-time

Kforce's client, a leading Long Island, NY based Construction management firm is seeking a versatile Project Accountant with Sage/Timberline and QuickBooks experience. The company offers an excellent benefits package that includes comprehensive medical/dental/vision, and 401(k). Responsibilities in this highly visible role include:

Coordinate preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare/review invoices related to contracts including AIA billing, % complete
Process, review and code change orders and PO's as necessary
Review and ensure all billing is accurate per terms of contracts
Prepare variance reports via Excel
Prepare various weekly/monthly billing and reports
Monitor accounts and take appropriate actions with customers to arrange for payments, issue monthly statements
Apply payments accurately and timely
Work with audit staff to ensure billable costs are accounted for and billed
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and job reports
Degree in Accounting
3+ years of experience in a staff accounting or public accounting position with some construction industry (AIA) exposure
Experience in the use of various applications Microsoft Office Products, including Windows, Word, Excel, Sage/Timberline and QuickBooks
Solid written/verbal communication skills
Solid decision-making skills - Able to resolve complex accounting issues
