As a Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic community in Arkansas, your role transcends simple therapy; it's about empowering individuals to overcome obstacles that affect their speech and swallowing. You'll bring joy and confidence to lives at various stages-helping children voice their dreams and assisting older adults in finding their independence once again.

This role offers a rare chance to cater to a diverse population within a therapeutic landscape that harmonizes outpatient services with occasional inpatient needs. Whether your specialty lies in assisting children with speech development, aiding adults with cognitive communication challenges, or supporting seniors in speech rehabilitation, you'll discover both rewarding challenges and flexible opportunities here.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across age demographics utilizing established assessments and observational methods.
  • Craft tailored treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term goals surrounding communication, cognitive abilities, and swallowing functions.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical practitioners, family caregivers, and loved ones to devise unified care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to ensure continued advancement beyond the clinical environment.
  • Partake in infrequent inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to guarantee seamless continuity of care.
  • Accurately maintain timely documentation to comply with both regulatory and institutional guidelines.
  • Commit to continuous learning through educational opportunities and teamwork.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
License and Certification
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
Key Skills
  • Expertise in understanding and treating a spectrum of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices for varied age groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Capacity to modify therapeutic approaches to align with cultural and linguistic diversity.
  • Exceptional clinical judgment and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation norms.
Employee Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Flexible working hours promoting a healthy work-life balance and diverse case management.
  • Potential for specialization in pediatrics, adult rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
  • Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Support for continuing education and professional growth.
  • Collaborative atmosphere focused on providing excellent care and fostering lifelong learning.

A Rewarding Career Awaits You

In this role, beyond the scope of traditional speech therapy, you'll dive into a mission that focuses on restoring the capacity for communication, nurturing deep connections, and creating joyful experiences through the fundamental joys of understanding one another.

Join a warm community of like-minded professionals who regard one another as family, thriving in a culture rooted in teamwork and shared triumphs. Each patient carries their own narrative; you will play a vital role in narrating and enhancing those stories.

The Ideal Candidate

We are in search of a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not just by results but by the powerful human stories and emotions involved. If you can see the potential in every child who struggles to communicate or feel the determination in a stroke patient's voice, we want to hear from you.

You may be specializing in pediatric care and now looking to branch into adult services, or you could be an expert in neurodegenerative conditions looking to add pediatric interventions to your skillset.

If tailoring your practice towards empathy and excellence speaks to you, we are eager to welcome you into our community and team.

Let Us Help You Share Your Voice

If you resonate with the idea that speech transcends mere sounds, and therapy is a pathway to trust and heartfelt connection, then this might be the moment you've been awaiting in your career journey.

Become a vital part of a community that cherishes communication, understanding, and the courage to learn anew. Apply now and become a pivotal force in helping others discover their voices.
