Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across age demographics utilizing established assessments and observational methods.
- Craft tailored treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term goals surrounding communication, cognitive abilities, and swallowing functions.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Engage in collaborative discussions with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical practitioners, family caregivers, and loved ones to devise unified care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families to ensure continued advancement beyond the clinical environment.
- Partake in infrequent inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to guarantee seamless continuity of care.
- Accurately maintain timely documentation to comply with both regulatory and institutional guidelines.
- Commit to continuous learning through educational opportunities and teamwork.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in understanding and treating a spectrum of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices for varied age groups.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Capacity to modify therapeutic approaches to align with cultural and linguistic diversity.
- Exceptional clinical judgment and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation norms.
