Job reference REQ00000020224 Position: Adoption Recruiter Location: Cumberland Wide Salary: £42,839 to £44,075 per annum (pro‑ratio £25,703 to £26,445) Hours: 22.2 per week Contract: Permanent Basis: Part time Overview We are looking for an experienced adoption professional to work with prospective adopters across the county of Cumbria. The role involves responding to adoption enquiries, completing initial visits, presenting at recruitment events and training, conducting stage 1 and stage 2 adoption assessments, and presenting cases to the Adoption Panel. Key Responsibilities Respond to adoption enquiries and support prospective adopters throughout the assessment process. Complete initial visits to prospective adoptive applicants. Present at recruitment events and provide adopter training. Conduct stage 1 and stage 2 adoption assessments. Present cases to the Adoption Panel. Qualifications & Experience At least 3 years post‑qualifying experience in adoption or related child‑care work. Strong knowledge of statutory adoption duties and processes. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a county‑wide team. Valid DBS check – enhanced with Children’s/Adult’s barred list. Benefits Contributory pension scheme.
