The Role

As a Sales Associate , you'll be one of the first faces customers see — welcoming them in, walking them through hands-on product demos, and helping them find exactly the right thing, whether it's for themselves or a gift for someone they love. But just as important: you'll be the person who helps two strangers become friends because they both love this brand, who recognizes a regular and knows what they're hoping is back in stock, and who makes our space feel like a real hangout, not just a store.

You don't need a polished retail resume for this one — you need real warmth, genuine curiosity, and a willingness to jump in and help. If you already lurk in fan communities for brands you love, you already understand exactly what we're looking for.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

• A genuinely good person to be around, kind, honest, and easy to work with, with zero patience for big egos or unnecessary drama

• A fun, warm personality that customers naturally gravitate toward

• Patient and encouraging with people trying something new or a little outside their comfort zone,you never make anyone feel silly for not knowing something yet

• Genuinely enjoys creativity, craft, and helping people feel proud of what they make or give as a gift

• A natural connector, you notice when someone's standing alone and you're the one who goes and talks to them

• Takes feedback well and gives it just as gracefully, always looking for a better way to do it next time

• Calm and steady on busy days, especially during peak gifting and holiday traffic

Key Requirements

• Retail experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement, the right personality matters more than a resume line

• Comfortable and energized by the intensity of a fall-through-holiday retail season, including peak gifting periods

• Genuinely fun, warm, and approachable, this brand's personality is a huge part of the job

• Comfortable demonstrating products and teaching customers hands-on, even if you've never done it before either,we'll train you

• Genuine curiosity about (or willingness to dive into) the brand's fan community, we'll point you toward the spaces where fans hang out online so you can speak their language

• Flexible availability across the full fall and holiday season, including weekends and key trading/holiday periods

What You'll Own

Community Building

• Recognize and welcome regulars and superfans, remembering faces, favorite pieces, and what they're hoping comes back in stock

• Bring energy to our in-store community space, prompts, questions, and moments that get customers sharing opinions and talking to each other, not just browsing quietly

• Spot the customer standing alone and go talk to them, it's everyone's job to make sure no one feels like an outsider in this space

• Get genuinely familiar with how our community talks about us online, the inside jokes, the collector culture, what's exciting people right now, so you can speak fluently with superfans, not just knowledgeably

• Help first-timers see the bigger world behind the brand, the community, the collectibility, the people who've made this a real part of their life, not just the product on the shelf

Customer Experience

• Welcome every customer with warmth and make them feel at home from the moment they walk through the door

• Lead hands-on product demonstrations, helping customers feel confident even if they've never tried this before

• Help every customer walk away with that unmistakable “I can't believe I actually made that” feeling, that's the whole point

• Provide thoughtful help for gift-shoppers, especially during the holiday rush

Sales Performance

• Meet individual sales targets while always putting the customer experience first

• Proactively help customers discover things they'll genuinely love, never through pressure

• Support gift-focused selling and cross-selling as part of the holiday season push

Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation

• Help maintain a colorful, cozy, and inviting store presentation that reflects the brand's playful personality

• Keep displays fresh, tidy, and gift-ready throughout the holiday season

Operations Support

• Process sales, exchanges, and daily transactions accurately

• Support stock replenishment, receiving, and back-of-house organization as needed

• Help with gift-wrap/packaging flow during peak periods

• Pitch in wherever the team needs it, this is a small, lean team, and everyone helps everyone

Success Metrics

• Achievement of individual sales goals

• Customers consistently leaving happier, and more connected, than when they arrived

• Real, visible moments of community happening on the floor, strangers talking, regulars feeling recognized

• Positive contribution to team morale and energy on the floor

• Consistent reflection of the brand's warm, playful personality in every customer interaction
