Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Principal Dynamics Engineer who will provide support for the AircraftWheels & Brakes product line as it relates to managing the dynamic response to braking (friction induced vibration) and other sources of excitation due to product operation. You will support commercial and military product lines, with focus on leading root cause investigations into vibration issues and leading the resultant design mitigation efforts. As part of this, you will interact with internal and external customers and collaborate with various global cross functional teams/groups.This role will be onsite at our Troy, OH facility. What You Will Do:Lead structural dynamics projects of aircraft wheels & brake to ensure that analytical assessment, dynamic test, system dynamic response, final report and documentation are prepared for internal and external customers.Create and validate structural dynamics models (modal analysis, stability assessment, transient analysis, etc.), using ANSYS Mechanical, LS-Dyna and other CAE tools.Determine the parameters of dynamics related dynamometer test programs for development and qualification based on Aircraft/program needs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
