Role Description The Equipment Manager oversees, organizes, and maintains all production equipment for Full View. This full-time, on-site role is based in Detroit, MI, and involves managing camera, lighting, audio, grip, and related gear to support daily shoots and studio operations. Day-to-day tasks include tracking inventory, checking equipment in and out, performing basic maintenance, coordinating repairs, and ensuring gear is prepared and available for each production. The Equipment Manager will collaborate with producers, directors, and crew to anticipate equipment needs, support load-in/load-out for shoots, and uphold safety and handling standards. The role also includes maintaining an organized storage area, updating equipment records, and recommending equipment upgrades or replacements to improve production quality and efficiency. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to manage, organize, and track video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio, and grip gear. Experience with basic equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs or vendor service when needed. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple productions, schedules, and equipment requests. Knowledge of standard production workflows and on-set procedures, preferably in a video or film production environment. Commitment to safe equipment handling, lifting, and transport; ability to work in a physical, hands-on role. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with producers, directors, and crew members. Comfort with using spreadsheets or inventory management software to maintain accurate equipment logs. Previous experience in video production, studio operations, or equipment room management is highly beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Detroit, MI, with flexibility to support early, late, or weekend shoots as needed.
