Service Supervisor

Service Supervisor – responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in servicing and maintaining coin‑operated laundry equipment in apartment buildings. Responsibilities Inspect work of subordinates to ensure compliance with company standards. Assist service personnel with difficult problems. Check company vehicles for maintenance and cleanliness. Hold monthly service meetings to discuss company policies, procedures, and special issues. Study service schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job assignments. Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations. Interpret job orders and assign duties to workers. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet service schedules. Recommend measures to improve service methods, equipment performance, and quality of service. Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment usage to increase crew efficiency. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in problem-solving. Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals. Maintain time and service records. Coordinate activities with other supervisors across departments. May perform activities typically carried out by the workers supervised. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 3–6 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. #J-18808-Ljbffr
