Licensed PTA – Orthopedic Rehab | Hillsborough, NJ

Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant

Pay: $70K–$80K annually, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
Caseload: About 1–2 patients per hour
Work Environment: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy

What You’ll Be Doing

A patient may come in working on knee strength after surgery. The next may need help improving shoulder mobility or getting comfortable walking again after an injury.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant , you’ll help carry out the treatment program already established by the PT and make sure patients are performing exercises safely and correctly.

You’ll also keep the Physical Therapist updated on how patients are responding so their rehabilitation can stay on track.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Provide PTA treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Lead prescribed strengthening and mobility exercises
• Assist patients with balance, coordination, and functional movement
• Monitor symptoms and treatment tolerance during sessions
• Communicate patient observations to the supervising PT
• Reinforce exercise instructions and proper movement technique
• Document treatments and patient response
• Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas
• Follow clinic procedures and professional standards of care

Requirements

• Active PTA license in New Jersey
• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Previous outpatient rehabilitation experience
• Familiarity with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
• Clear communication and documentation skills
