Tech Lead Manager

As a full-time Tech Lead Manager, the successful candidate will manage complex software solutions that support payroll processing, lead a team in enhancing engineering workflows, and collaborate closely with product and operations to drive business growth, all within a remote or hybrid work environment. Key responsibilities Scale systems for payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as complexity increases Design services for money movement and reconciliation, ensuring clarity and traceability Support new businesses in migrating large employer bases onto Check's infrastructure Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role Desire to remain hands-on and actively contribute to team projects Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers Interest in improving engineering workflows and utilizing AI for automation
