Position Summary
We're hiring a polished, experienced maitre'd to lead the guest experience on our front-of-house team Kindred Restaurant in Davidson, NC. This role is suited to a hospitality professional who takes pride in warm first impressions, seamless pacing, and setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. We are looking for someone with a passion for people and hospitality.

About Us
Kindred is an upscale casual restaurant and the flagship of a growing local restaurant group, with several other restaurants in the area owned by Joe & Katy Kindred. Our culinary team has earned numerous James Beard Foundation nominations along with other national and local accolades. We're known for seasonally-driven menus, craft beer and cocktail programs, and stellar wine lists — and we're looking for servers who bring the same level of care to the guest experience that our kitchen brings to the plate.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet and welcome guests, setting the tone for their dining experience
Manage reservations, waitlists, and table flow to optimize seating and pacing
Anticipate guest needs, handle special requests, and resolve concerns with professionalism
Coordinate closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
Train, support, and set the standard for hosts and front-of-house support staff
Maintain a polished, organized, and welcoming host stand and entryway
Uphold the restaurant's standards for hospitality, presentation, and service at all times
Support leadership during high-volume, fast-paced shifts

Qualifications

Previous experience as a maitre'd, host lead, or front-of-house manager required; upscale or fine dining experience strongly preferred
Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of reservation and table management systems
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: Competitive, based on experience. Starting at $22/hr.
