An award-winning engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing Boston office. The successful candidate will manage complex structural engineering projects from concept through construction while working across a variety of building types, including commercial, institutional, healthcare, higher education, residential, mixed‑use, and specialty structures. Location: Boston, MA Key Responsibilities Serve as Project Manager and lead structural engineering projects from inception through completion. Perform structural analysis and design for new construction projects. Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and client communication. Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary design teams. Lead the preparation and review of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications. Conduct site visits and field observations during construction. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Support proposal development, business development, and client relationship management efforts. Review shop drawings and respond to contractor RFIs. Ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest technical standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 7-15 years of structural engineering experience. Proven project management experience with direct client interaction. Experience working on a variety of building projects, including commercial, institutional, mixed‑use, residential, healthcare, educational, or similar vertical construction sectors. Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes and structural design standards. Experience with concrete, steel, masonry, timber, and foundation design is preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Experience Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams. Exposure to complex or architecturally significant structures. Business development and client management experience.
