Job Responsibilities Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment. Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts of existing units for systems 15 tons or larger. Maintain larger PM contracts with more than 5 units. Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls. Service and troubleshoot mini-splits and/or replace smaller RTU’s and mini-splits for 15 tons or less. Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for customers. Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered. Accountabilities Continual learning and development through FirstCall Academy to maintain industry‑leading skill level. Deliver elite level customer service, ensuring customers call FirstCall for their HVAC needs. Qualifications TWIC card required. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Active EPA Certification. 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting. OSHA 10 Certification. Manufacturer Certification is preferred. Availability to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, percent; read and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability Apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions; handle problems with concrete variables; prioritize multiple tasks; lead and teach helpers and tech I’s. Physical Demands Regularly use hands; stand, walk, sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift/move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required.
