Busser / Food RunnerPosition SummaryLocation: Marche BacchusHourly Pay: $14 per hourThe Busser/Food Runner plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience by acting as a vital link between the kitchen and the front of house, as well as maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. This hybrid role is responsible for delivering hot, fresh meals to guests promptly, clearing and resetting tables, and supporting both the culinary and service teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, energetic, and committed to creating a smooth, enjoyable guest experience. This position reports to the General Manager and works in close collaboration with servers, chefs, and kitchen staff.Job DutiesPromptly deliver food from the kitchen or expo line to guests with accuracy and grace.Verbally announce and describe dishes to guests in an appealing and informed manner.Understand and communicate ingredients and potential allergens when needed.Assist with pre-bussing, clearing, and resetting tables efficiently.Serve and refill water, coffee, and other beverages as needed.Ensure that dishes leaving the kitchen are clean, properly plated, and visually appealing.Maintain a clean and safe restaurant environment, including dining areas, restrooms, and back of house when needed.Recognize and welcome regular guests, catering to their preferences.Support both food and beverage stations by replenishing condiments and supplies.Assist servers and kitchen staff as needed to support overall operations.Follow side work and cleaning checklists as designated by management.Adhere to sanitation and safety procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.Must have a current Health Card.Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.Strong attention to detail and professional appearance.Ability to interact with guests and team members in a sensitive, tactful, and diplomatic manner.Strong work ethic and a positive, team-focused attitude.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.Manual dexterity to carry multiple plates and beverages.Comfortable working in a hot, cold, or steamy kitchen environment.May require the use of uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Employee Benefits Include:401kEmployee Assistance ProgramNo waiting period to use accrued PTOTrainingDiscounts & much more!NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
